Maryann Potter Counseling

Maryann Potter, MS, LPC

I am a licensed mental health counselor passionate about helping you heal from unresolved issues and trauma using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other essential tools. I follow person-centered therapy that means you take a lead in discussions so that you discover your own solutions. I act as a compassionate facilitator, listening without judgment, and acknowledging your experience. I walk alongside you in your journey by helping you learn to give yourself grace, process difficulties, learn positive coping skills and develop effective communication skills. My goal is for you to believe in yourself and feel EMPOWERED

I have personally dealt with life challenges such as divorce, blending families and dealing with kids of all ages and in various life stages.  I helped care for my elderly parents and dealt with the pain and grief of losing loved ones. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, being outside in nature, and traveling.

I offer therapy sessions in person on the world's softest sofa, or online via video. I am licensed in Arizona LPC-23304.
